Welcome to the Peat Compendium!
Earlier in the year we undertook a work package to collate a compendium of UK peat restoration and management projects in uplands and lowlands with the Partnership Project to protect and enhance peat soils and the habitats they support. The report that was produced as a result of this work can be found via these links:
The aim of this compendium is to provide a much needed overview of peatland restoration and management activities across the UK.
To be included in this compendium, please use this form to add your project. It is important that you complete as much information as possible to enable us all to learn from the experience and expertise developed across UK peat projects. To help you here is an example of a completed form.
We’re using the term ‘projects’ as a catch all description for all practical restoration and / or management works that you might be involved with and therefore your ‘project’ might not actually be a discrete project as, for example, you might be implementing peatland restoration / management as part of delivering a wider management plan. We still very much want to collect information on this work and ask that you complete the above form.
Any questions (however big or small) please call Moors for the Future on 01629 816 578 referencing the Peat Compendium Project or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
